►State Legislative Leadership & Recognition of Legislative Commitment Award 2024- Jennifer Corbeil, PT, DPT
We are thrilled to announce that Jennifer Corbeil, PT, DPT, has received the prestigious "State Legislative Leadership & Recognition of Legislative Commitment Award" from the national level of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Jennifer was honored at the APTA Honors Awards reception on Sunday July 21, 2024.
This award highlights Jennifer's leadership in grassroots efforts in state government affairs. Her dedication to legislative efforts in Maine has been exemplary, contributing to the previous work of others that has led to recent legislative victories.

►Maine Chapter, APTA President's Service Award 2023 - Gwen Simons
The recipient of the Maine Chapter President's Award is someone who has offered long-term, exceptional service to the Maine Chapter of APTA. This individual can be either a chapter member or a non-APTA member who has made extraordinary contributions to the chapter.
Gwen played a crucial role in researching, drafting, submitting, tracking, and ultimately passing three bills during the 2023 Maine State Legislative session. As the Maine Chapter lobbyist, she exceeded her duties, dedicating numerous hours to drafting bills, traveling to Augusta, meeting with committees, relaying information, and gathering professional testimony.
