MaineCare Delays Payments to Providers

On February 14, 2025, the Office of Mainecare Services announced that they will plan to "temporarily withhold certain providers payments."  This is due to the FY25 State budget; while the budget passed, it did not pass with 2/3rds of the Legislature and therefore, the funds are not immediately available.  The office explains that there will be no further action on the budget until February 25, 2025 and they will provide updates as things evolve.

If you have further questions, please contact your local legislature.  If you would like to sign up for email updates from the State of Maine, please see Maine.gov:  Online Services Page.
